About me

I am Yu Yan (颜宇), also known as Throb7. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Transportation at the College of Civil Aviation, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where I am advised by Danwen Bao.

My research focuses on intelligent low-altitude transportation systems, especially the modeling, simulation, risk assessment, and optimization of its operations.

Before beginning my master's, I received bachelor's degrees in Aviation from RMIT University and Transportation (Airport Operation and Management) from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Research interests

• Low-altitude transportation systems Planning and operations of emerging urban air mobility and UAV-enabled services.
• Transportation system modeling and simulation Representing complex system dynamics and evaluating operational strategies through computational models.
• AI for transportation Reinforcement learning and large language models for transportation planning, control, and decision support.

Current focus

My current interests lie in understanding how complex transportation systems evolve under operational constraints, and in developing simulation-based and AI-assisted methods to support planning, control, and decision-making.
